Communications Manager

Summary

The Communications Manager will report to the Executive Producer. The role’s fundamental purpose is to lead the day-to-day press, marketing, and communications strategy for the company, ensuring that Rifco’s work is visible and accessible to our audiences. In addition, the Communications Manager will be a crucial link to external organisations, liaising with our venues partners to ensure a unified and effective communications strategy for Rifco shows.

More Details

Responsibilities include:

– To devise and deliver marketing campaigns for productions, projects and other activity to agreed budgets and alongside co-producers and venues as necessary.

– Managing and coordinating external media agencies on advertising plans & delivery.

– To create and deliver the Company’s social media plans for individual projects and year-round.

– Ensuring all artwork is produced and approved in good time & to a high standard.

– To write effective copy for publicity, email and direct mail as required for promotional purposes.

– To create and co-ordinate Front of House marketing materials.

– To work with design agencies and individuals to deliver creative concepts for marketing collateral and be responsible for proofing the same to include appropriate use of logo/brand for final approval.

– Demonstrable experience of effectively working on and managing multiple campaigns within and across traditional and digital platforms (including social media)

£Salary: £36,000 – £40,000 pro rata (depending on experience) Contract: Employee, permanent Place of Work: A mix of Rifco’s office base at Watford Palace Theatre, 20 Clarendon Road, Watford WD17 1JZ and working from home. Hours of Work: Normal hours are 10 am-6 pm. However, this role will be required to work unsocial hours as required by the needs of the programme, e.g. evenings and weekends. This job is designed to be full time but part time or flexible hours will be considered for the right candidate
