Summary

Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures are seeking an experienced LX2 (Deputy Electrician) to join their touring production of The Car Man. This is a hands-on role supporting the Head of Lighting delivering all lighting elements of the production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with fit-ups, focus sessions, performances and get-outs.
  • Acting as cover for Head of Lighting on their day off, operating the lighting desk.
  • Maintenance of all lighting equipment.
  • Supervise and work alongside local venue crews.
  • Support the wider technical team and deputise when required.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in lighting for live theatre.
  • Good fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently within a touring environment.
  • Commitment to high standards of health and safety.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in touring.

Allowances:  We follow the Equity / CTA rate for living away allowance which is currently £350 per week for each touring week that is further than 25 miles from your home address.
