ETT Trustee

We are looking to recruit engaged, dynamic individuals to join our Board of Trustees, to drive our organisation forward, achieve our strategic goals, and diversify and strengthen our Board. We seek candidates from a wide range of backgrounds, and as per our commitment to equality and diversity, Global Majority candidates and disabled candidates are particularly encouraged to apply. At its simplest, the role of a charity trustee is to receive assets from donors, safeguard them, and apply them for a charitable purpose according to the wishes of the donor.

Trustees are also required to: • Take big decisions about the future. • Ensure activities are legal and safe. • Support the Artistic Director & CEO and Executive Producer. • Ensure the work of the charity is carried out. • Ensure the Trustee board is skilled and kept up to date. • Ensure all appropriate reporting & auditing occurs. • Support & oversee ACE NPO applications & other applications as & when appropriate. • Act in the best interests of the charity. • Act together as a group rather than as individuals. • Set aside their personal interests. • Take legal responsibility for the organisation.
