More Details

Kiln Theatre sits in the heart of Kilburn in Brent, a unique and culturally diverse area of London where over 140 languages are spoken. It is a proudly local theatre with an international vision and reputation, and with artistic excellence at the core of everything we do.  We produce high quality, groundbreaking and engaging plays, which present the world through a variety of lenses, bringing unheard and/or ignored voices into the mainstream and reaching the widest audience demographics. In our beautifully renovated theatre, we make work that tells big stories about human connections across cultures, race and language.

Kiln is a very special place and, following the recent appointment of Amit Sharma as Artistic Director & CEO, we are now looking for an Executive Director to support him in fulfilling his exciting vision for the Kiln.

The Executive Director will work alongside the Artistic Director & CEO to provide Kiln Theatre with inspirational and inclusive leadership, ensuring the successful delivery of an ambitious artistic programme with strong financial stability, commercial growth and organisational development of the company, whilst continuing to build the theatre’s national and international profile.

Our ideal candidate will be an inspirational leader in a senior strategic role in the arts, creative industries or allied sectors, with recent experience of leading a team and stakeholders successfully through substantial change. They will have the ability to balance creative ambition with strong financial management, bringing commercial acumen, entrepreneurial flair, and a track record of identifying and developing income generating opportunities from multiple sources. Empathetic and collaborative, our new Executive Director will have a genuine commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and to the value of theatre in fostering well-being.  Together with the Artistic Director & CEO, they will lead a dedicated and professional team to their full potential, ensuring that Kilburn and Kiln Theatre continue to defy expectations and punch well above their weight.
