Role Summary

GARY CLARKE COMPANY, co-founded and led by Artistic Director Gary Clarke and Executive Producer Annabel Dunbar is at a pivotal point in its development having successfully bid for National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) funding from Arts Council England to help deliver its three-year plan from 2023 – 2026. Moving from a highly successful project-by-project company of freelancers, that regularly exceeds its targets, we are now creating a year-round organisation that will deliver its high-quality, programme of work annually. As part of this transition, we are seeking a dynamic and efficient General Manager with extensive experience who will be responsible for holding together the day-to-day function of GARY CLARKE COMPANY as we deliver our productions, projects and ground-breaking works across the UK.

Job Specification

The General Manager will be a key member of our team and will manage the daily operations, the finance function, HR management, company administration, board and funder reporting. This exciting new role within the company is ideal for an individual who is keen to collaborate as part of a small, highly professional and passionate team to help shape and grow GARY CLARKE COMPANY from a project-by-project operation to a robust all-year-round year-round organisation. This role will be flexibly based in designated GARY CLARKE COMPANY spaces in Sheffield and Barnsley and home working.
