The role is offered on a part time basis for 14 hours (2 days) per week.

About the role

As a Marden Warehouse Coordinator you will focus on:

  •  Opening and closing the building, and all departments within, according to agreed times, ensuring the security and safety of Company property, acting as a keyholder for the Marden site.
  • Providing a consistent, reliable service, enabling the smooth running of day to day warehouse operations.
  • Coordinating the operation of weekly van transfer of items to and from London.
  • Providing a service for receiving and distributing incoming mail and parcels, and a similar service for outgoing mail and parcels.
  • Supporting the work programme for building maintenance: identify items or issues to be resolved and allocate work to outside contractors or undertake small repairs.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the scope of the role.

Your main responsibilities as Marden Warehouse Coordinator :

  • Act as a keyholder for the Marden site; Provide keys and locks ensuring a high standard of security is maintained at all times, and in accordance with insurance requirements.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for building security and fire safety, including:
    • Access f personnel to the building.
    • Dealing with any suspicius circumstances.
    • Attendance at facility in the event f an emergency.
    • Organizatin of fire drills and evacuations.
    • Testing f fire alarms and emergency lighting as required by the relevant authorities.
  • Attend any compliance and health and safety related training, including evacuation, fire and first aid.
  • Provide a service for receiving and distributing incoming mail and parcels, and a similar service for outgoing mail and parcels.
  • Keep records of all maintenance work undertaken in house or by contractors.
  • Keep stocks of standard building maintenance materials, purchasing as necessary.
  • Oversee the hire arrangements for electrical equipment to outside companies as instructed.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service and responsiveness, providing a consistent, reliable service.

Key Selection Criteria

As a Marden Warehouse Coordinator you will need to demonstrate that you have:

  • Ability to learn the steps involved in managing the security of a warehouse.
  • Ability to understand the operational workings of a performing arts warehouse, and the practical requirements for the successful maintenance of the premises and sets.
  • Ability to learn how to carry out small repairs for building and set maintenance with minimal supervision.
  • High level of accuracy, with good record keeping.
  • Commitment to managing own learning and continuous professional development to the role.
