The Royal Opera House (ROH) is home to three of the world`s great performing art companies: The Royal Ballet, The Royal Opera, and the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House. We aspire to produce great art, telling stories that can speak to universal themes that move us.

Our Learning and Participation (L&P) department is central to achieving ROH`s mission to enrich the cultural life of the nation. Our extensive programmes, which involve more than 50,000 participants annually, aim to inspire creativity and give people of all ages the chance to discover, question and respond to the power of our artforms. Our work in the East of England facilitates local place-based partnerships in Levelling Up for Culture places offering a range of ROH teacher development programmes and creative interventions for children and young people as well as offering support for cultural education partnerships across Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and North Kent.

We are now looking for an experienced National Schools Programme (NSP) Officer to enable the delivery of our Schools work up and down the country. The NSP Officer will help by providing administrative, events, logistical and financial support across our programmes.

We would love to hear from individuals who are passionate about improving access for children and young people to the arts. The ideal candidate will need to be able to demonstrate:

-Strong knowledge in opera and/or ballet and or theatre design in educational context.

-Evidence of strong administration, organisational and IT skills with the ability to prioritise and identify future workload.

-Experience of event management, specifically, the ability to plan and run events from concept to delivery.

-Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a range of people across the organisation and externally, including teachers, artists, technicians, students, administrative staff and members of the public.

-Excellent communication and writing skills with high standard of English.
