Research Co-ordinator (New Ventures project)

Chichester Festival Theatre is seeking a Research Coordinator to enable the development of an exciting new project supported by National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Research Co-ordinator

Fixed term – 2 days per week (Thursday and Friday)

Jan – April 2025

£260 per day

As Research Coordinator you will help uncover and shape the research at the heart of the project. The post-holder will coordinate a dedicated group of research volunteers, as part of a fast-paced and creative department who are passionate about providing high quality community work. The research you uncover will be used to create a dynamic exhibition for our Festival Theatre foyer, which will travel across West Sussex. This role would suit a researcher looking to develop their portfolio at a world-class theatre.

Do you remember The Tent, Theatre on the Fly and The Spiegeltent? These venues offered space for us to do something a little bit different to our usual programming. The New Ventures project seeks to rediscover this rich but under-researched history of fringe theatre venues at CFT. The project coincides with the launch of The Nest, a brand-new theatre venue opening at CFT in 2025.
