Technical & Building Manager Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, is looking for a skilled and motivated Technical and Building Manager to head up our established team of technicians. The Theatre can be found in the heart of Aylesbury, a bustling market town close to the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Theatre boasts a dynamic programme of electrifying West End productions, live music, dance, unparalleled comedy and the best children’s shows. The multi-functional venue can also accommodate conferences, meetings and live screenings. The Technical and Building Manager will be Responsible for leading the permanent and casual team of technicians, you’ll ensure we offer the highest standards of technical support to many performances and events each year across our main auditorium and studio. Establishing great relationships with the touring companies visiting us is a key part of the role. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining the building to a high standard and ensuring there is a positive safety culture throughout the venue team. This is a varied role including a good mixture of both planning, management and practical technical work. Previous technical and leadership experience in a live entertainment context is essential, but this does not have to be a theatre and we are keen to hear from candidates from a wide range of backgrounds. The role is offered on an annualised hours basis, with payment for 120 premium hours included in the salary.
