Each year more than 100,000 people see events at the Northcott Theatre and at the Barnfield Theatre in the city centre. Thousands more participate in our creative activities: we offer vital support for South-West theatre-makers though our artist development programme; we offer life-long creative opportunities to children as young as five all the way through to adulthood; and we work closely with communities, schools and other charities across the South West to give opportunities to people who need them most.
We are currently looking for a committed and enthusiastic theatre Technician or Senior Technician to join our Technical team, which is led by our three Technical Managers. The team structure includes Technical Managers, Senior Technicians, and Technicians and we are open to appointing at the appropriate level depending on your experience and skill level.
Collectively, the Team are responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of both the Northcott and Barnfield theatre’s performance spaces and associated spaces and activities, with a particular focus on maintaining a safe working environment, achieving the highest possible artistic and technical standards for both touring and in-house productions, and maintaining stage and electrical equipment in good working order.
Salaries (full-time):
Technician £25,050 p.a. (£11.47 per hour), rising to £26,229 p.a. (£12.01 per hour) after the first full year of service
Senior Technician £27,431 p.a. (£12.56 per hour)
