Code of Practice For Venues And Producers

In 2015 UK Theatre created a Code of Practice for venues and producers.  

In 2019 UK Theatre and Society of London Theatre (SOLT) committed to explore the new operating context for venues and producers and to facilitate contemporary, consistent and clear ways of working.  Forums were held across the UK in addition to talks with sector colleagues including the UK Arts Councils, ITC and the League of Independent Producers.

Following this extensive consultation and development, the new Producing, Presenting and Touring Handbook was published in June 2019. The Code of Practice for Venues and Producers forms a part of this Handbook.
