Job Specification
Derby Theatre is looking for a Head of Development to lead on securing new funding to support our distinctive Learning Theatre model. In the longer term there will be a need to identify and raise capital funding for building improvements.   
From trusts and foundations, to a recently-launched membership scheme, the theatre’s fundraising strategy encompasses diverse initiatives. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a successful track record as well a creative approach and commercial acumen. The post holder will be comfortable working in a target-oriented culture. 
The Head of Development is a member of the Senior Management Team, and as such offers an opportunity to contribute to the overall management of the theatre and its role in the wider city.
