Job Specification
Performances Birmingham Ltd is the charitable trust that manages Town Hall Symphony Hall (THSH) as part of two iconic venues at the heart of Birmingham. Town Hall Symphony Hall’s mission is to inspire a love of live music, through performance, participation and learning. THSH plays an increasingly central role in a vibrant and collaborative city and has the ambition to express and reflect the diversity, inclusivity and vibrancy of Birmingham by enabling more music for more people, and, by engaging artists, audiences and staff, to bring creativity, learning and participation to the heart of everything we do.  Each year, we welcome over half a million people to around 800 concerts and events. 
The charity is now seeking a Creative Producer Talent Development to devise, plan and implement a sustainable talent management programme, building on the work of previous programmes in both learning & participation and jazz. Working as part of the Artistic Programming team and reporting directly to the Jazzlines Manager, the successful post holder will also deliver various strands: Jazz Electives, Jazzlines Summer School and Half Term Sessions, Jazzlines Ensembles, Jazzlines Fellowship Scheme, The Notebenders and other future Jazzlines Talent Development programmes. 
Additionally, and building on these existing Talent development projects, the role is also responsible for  devising and delivering a pilot Summer School focussed on non-notated music that is inclusive to musicians from a variety of diverse musical backgrounds.
