Job Specification
With over 3000 seats The Edinburgh Playhouse is the largest traditional theatre in the UK. The Playhouse was originally designed as a theatre but opened in 1929 as a cinema. It continued as a cinema until 1973 and then, after a period of uncertainty, reopened as a premier concert venue. 
This is a new post for Edinburgh Playhouse and will give the right candidate an opportunity to initiate and shape the future of Creative Learning in Edinburgh. At the same you will be fully supported as part of ATG’s national department of Creative Learning & Community Partnerships. 
As Creative Learning & Community Partnerships Manager you will lead on cultural education for Edinburgh Playhouse, initiating small to large scale projects, exciting and complex partnership ventures, and above all building a long term sustainable programme for a diverse range of local participants. 
You will work closely with partners, including visiting producers to support local engagement of their education programmes, helping to nurture and develop the prospective audience interest and understanding of the show.
