Stage Door Assistant

Date Added
08 July 2019
Organisation
The Marlowe Theatre
Location
Canterbury
Salary
£17,364 per annum (pro rata)
Job Specification
The Marlowe is Kent’s regional theatre. As one of the UK’s most successful touring venues, we present a rich and diverse programme of drama, musicals, dance, opera, music, pantomime, new writing, poetry and comedy in our state-of-the-art Theatre and Studio. We are committed to developing regional talent, with our vibrant youth theatre and extensive artist development and participation programmes. The Marlowe Kit is our new space in a medieval building, housing a dedicated learning space, an exhibition and escape room, where we are pushing the boundaries of theatre/heritage practice.

This is an exciting time to join our team. The Marlowe became an independent charitable trust in December 2018, allowing us to invest in our success and to develop our producing and co-producing capacity across all scales. Our Everyone’s Theatre initiative will see large-scale site-specific shows bringing world class artists together with the region’s young and emerging artists and community performers.

To help us build on our success we are recruiting a part time Stage Door Assistant to join our team. Are you passionate about providing great customer service? Do you thrive under pressure? Are you a creative problem solver? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

The role does include working at weekends and evenings. This is a great opportunity to join our team and work at one of the country’s most important regional theatre.
