Selladoor Worldwide is a UK leading theatre producer and venue manager with a growing international presence. 
Our slate of productions includes Fame, Flashdance, and Madagascar The Musical plus family shows such as Elmer the Patchwork Elephant, Mr Men and many more. The venues that Selladoor manages include the Peterborough New Theatre, Queen’s Theatre Barnstaple and Landmark Ilfracombe. 
As we continue our expansion and provide further innovative new work to the national and international stage, as well as adding more venues to our portfolio, we are looking for an exceptional individual to join the Programming department. 
The Programming Assistant is key to the smooth running of the Programming department. Reporting to the Head of Programming, the Programming Assistant will lead on the delivery of content distribution of Selladoor’s family work. They will also contribute to the programming of Selladoor’s venues in Peterborough and North Devon, whilst providing a high level of administrative support to the team. 
Key Responsibilities 
Tour Programming 
Programme Selladoor’s family work into venues around the country, following negotiation with venue managers to achieve the best deals possible for Selladoor. 
Produce tour deal memos that accurately reflect the terms agreed and issue to venues. 
Research new performance spaces and venues so that Selladoor’s family work continues to reach new audiences. 
Venue Programming 
Programme one-night acts and visiting family work into Selladoor venues following negotiations with visiting producers. 
Produce Variable Terms (contracts) that accurately reflect what has been negotiated and issue to producers 
Office Administration 
Chase outstanding contracts from producers and venues. Maintain the filing system for contracts and monitor all outgoing and incoming paperwork. 
Draw up Variable Terms and Deal Memos for other members of the team as necessary 
Ensure the Programming department receives the highest level of administrative support. 
Complete other general administrative duties as directed by the Head of Programming. 
Essential Skills 
• Strong negotiation skills 
• Strong IT skills, especially MS Office suite and database management software. 
• Strong numerical skills. 
• Strong organisational skills. 
• Proficiency in grammar, spelling and proofreading. 
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team. 
• Ability to work well under pressure. 
• Ability to multitask. 
Desirable Skills 
• Knowledge of small venues and family work. 
• Knowledge of Artifax software. 
The successful candidate will have a flair for programming as well as an up to date knowledge and understanding of all forms of theatre.
