Job Specification
The Sunderland Empire is proud to be housing Hit Musicals from the West End and beyond. Join us at this exciting time as we look to deliver our new season programme of events whilst building our reputation for delivering World Class Theatre. 
We are looking for organised pro-active people who would thrive in the busy nature of working backstage as part of the Stage and lighting team assisting in all aspects of the running of productions. 
Main purpose: 
• To assist in the safe and efficient get-in and get-out of productions. 
• To undertake duties of stage crew and lighting crew during the run of productions. 
• To undertake the duties of a stage electrician or followspot operator. Training can be given. 
• To be able to work in a team environment during busy scene change sequences. 
• This position involves manual handling of set, scenery and lighting. 
• To adhere to the company’s health and safety procedures to minimise the risk of injury and accidents.
