Job Specification
This role is a resource for the entire company and requires a mix of electrical, project management and supervisory skills. The idea candidate will have an excellent level of technical competency whilst also being commercially astute with strong logistical and planning skills, and the ability to mentor, lead and develop our team of electricians and site supervisors. Although based within the Installations Team work in this role will include interaction with all WL departments to ensure Electrical Standards, excellent working practices and high H&S standards continue to be met and improved across all areas of the business. 
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
To undertake the electrical design of lighting and power distribution systems including producing all paperwork, layouts and schematics as required for installations and in line with all current codes of practice, legislation and wiring regulations 
To undertake the design of lighting control systems using a variety of protocols e.g. DMX, Dali and 0-10V dimming 
Provide accurate and timely quotations for customised electrical projects, electrical installations and periodic testing either direct to client or to the wider WL team as required 
To remain up to date with electrical codes of practice, legislation, compliance and wiring regulations regarding permanent and temporary installations and to communicate and promote these within the installations team and the wider WL team 
Provide technical support, H&S and welfare support to our team of WL Electricians and Site Supervisors ensuring each team member’s technical progression whilst maintaining a safe working culture and ensuring that team skills and knowledge are appropriately matched to our installations work 
To hold the position of Qualified Supervisor and ensure compliance with NICEIC registration through maintaining safe wiring standards, management of electrical certification, implementation of procedures and administration of required documentation 
Minimum requirements and qualifications: 
City & Guilds 2382 Requirements for Electrical installations BS7671 18th Edition 
City & Guilds 2391 Inspection, Testing and certification of electrical Installations 
City and Guilds 2360 part 2/City and Guilds 2330 level 3 (or equivalent) 
Achievement Measurement 2 (AM 2) 
NVQ Level 3 Installing and Commissioning Electrotechnical Systems 
ECS Gold/Black Card Holder 
Technical Skills: 
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role 
Ability to accurately cost the supply, installation and commissioning of electrical installations 
A good understanding of BS7909 for event power distribution 
A thorough understanding of health and safety policies and CDM regulations with an ability to produce and compile risk assessments and method statements and to be proactive in implementing H&S policy and procedure. (IOSH qualifications desirable) 
SSSTS or SMSTS desirable 
Able to work at height (IPAF/PASMA desirable)
