Job Specification
New Theatre Oxford is looking for a skilled and proactive maintenance technician. 
New Theatre is situated in the vibrant and historic City of Oxford, and has been the home of variety for over 100 years. With a capacity of 1785, the theatre plays host to leading opera and ballet companies, West End musicals, contemporary dance and sell-out pop and rock concerts. This planned seasons includes War Horse, Kelly Jones, Motwon the musical, Grease and Lenny Henry. 
Under the direction of the Technical Manager the role will be to prepare, manage and deliver a programme of planned and reactive building, plant and equipment maintenance, promptly and efficiently within budgetary constraints. 
The candidate will have responsibility for the day to day delivery of ensuring the theatre is presentable and in a good working order, ensuring highest level of health and safety and undertaking regular inspections. 
The ideal candidate will have experience in one of more of the following skillsets – general repairs, carpentry, metalwork, plumbing, electrics. Knowledge and understand of Health and Safety including use of PPE equipment and be physically fit and able to lift and carry items of equipment and furniture.
