AMPLIFY ONLINE is a new project from Tangle (, a touring theatre company championing African and Caribbean artistic excellence. It provides a bursary of £150 for a technical theatre maker at any career stage (UK resident, aged 18 and over) to undertake a programme of online mentoring with an industry expert. 
The project is part of AMPLIFY, Tangle’s offstage skills development scheme. It is delivered in partnership with Stage Sight, an industry-wide initiative that is making practical change to create an offstage workforce that is inclusive of class, ethnicity and disability ( 
Each recipient will devise their own programme of work (suggestions are provided in the application pack) and choose a mentor from our cohort of 8 diverse and experienced practitioners. This self-managing approach ensures that the placement can fit around other commitments. 
The placement takes place during July and August 2020. 
The closing date for applications is Wednesday 8 July 2020. 
All applicants will receive a response by Monday 13 July 2020. 
Interviews via Zoom will take place between 15 and 17 July 2020.
