Sunderland Empire is a spectacular grade two listed large scale-receiving house, hosting a vibrant programme featuring high profile touring theatre and musicals, as well as comedy, music and community performances.
Creative Learning & Community Partnerships is a dynamic department that delivers a high-quality programme of award winning cultural education that is locally driven, with national significance! As we prepare for our exciting relaunch, we are driven by focus on DIVERSITY, RELEVANCE & RESILENCE in all that we do.
We’d welcome interest from practitioners to deliver the relaunch of our longstanding weekly participation programme, including our Youth Theatre provision, which will be refocused as the ATG Sunderland Empire Academy – from September 2021.
Based at the inspiring Sunderland Empire, you will facilitate weekly sessions and work towards shows and key events through the year.
We are specifically looking for specialists in:
Musical Direction / Vocal coaching (Musical Theatre)
Dance/Choreography (Musical Theatre )
As Creative Learning Practitioner you’ll join our pool of excellent artists and practitioners in the delivery of an exciting upcoming programme. You will work with the Sunderland Empire’s Creative Learning and Community Partnerships team, supporting our commitment to successful working partnerships with visiting production companies, local arts organisations, businesses and schools, that feed into the development of our wide-ranging programme of work. You may also have the opportunity to deliver workshops and creative projects for the wider CLCP Programme.
Please note that first stage interviews are an observation of practice at Sunderland Empire during the week commencing 16th Aug. Second stages will be an informal meeting with the CL team and are planned to take place week commencing 23rd August.
