Job Specification
MAST Mayflower Studios opened in May 2021 as a multi art form performance, participation space and a creative hub with the aim to engage with partners who are committed to developing the potential of the creative community in Southampton, giving opportunities for all and helping achieve Southampton’s aspiration to be City of Culture in 2025. 
 
We are looking for an experienced Marketing & PR co-ordinator to join our busy and friendly marketing team. 
 
Marketing & PR co-ordinator 
You will: 
 
Deliver marketing campaigns and audience development activity to grow MAST audiences for future success by: 
 
• Deliver the communication plan and the digital marketing plan, including Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), digital marketing, and budget management and reporting. 
• Deliver campaigns for shows and events to time and budget, including but not limited to digital advertising, direct marketing and out of home marketing. Complete post-campaign analysis. 
• Run press campaigns and public relations activity for productions. Arrange and attend launches, press nights and events when needed. 
• Liaise with external agencies, producers and key stakeholders for the promotion of MAST. 
• Promote the community aspects of MAST and measure and report on activity. 
 
Ideally you will have experience of: 
• Campaign planning 
• Budget management 
• Press and PR campaigns 
• Digital advertising 
• Website content management systems 
• Print production and desktop design 
• Analysis and reporting of  data 
• Database interrogation and email platforms 
• Good IT skills including Customer Relations Management systems 
• Arts marketing experience and knowledge of the local arts scene is desirable 
 
Qualifications and skills required:   
• Degree level qualification in a relevant subject 
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written 
 
Hours of work will be varied and may include evening and weekends so flexibility is essential but based on a 37.5 hour week. Salary will be up to £23,000 pa with benefits. The first part of the process will be an aptitude test.
