Job Specification
JOB PURPOSE: 
 
To manage the sales website, digital communications and web optimisation for Warwick Arts Centre providing strategic guidance to colleagues on user experience, SEO, conversion optimisation and web content strategy. 
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 
Management and leadership 
 
 Work alongside the Marketing Manager (Arts Centre) to ensure that digital communications are fully integrated into wider marketing campaigns to maximise campaign effectiveness and sales 
 
 Ensure that web content is created around important, relevant keywords and that quality assurance and accessibility guidelines are met 
 
 Manage external agency partners (i.e. Grandad Digital, Spektrix and others), ensuring an excellent working relationship and that ongoing development plans are in place 
 
 Work closely with University ITS teams to ensure that projects are well managed and delivered satisfactorily, meeting all objectives 
 
 Work effectively with senior University Marketing colleagues to help devise, deliver, and communicate the Arts Centre’s strategic digital objectives with a particular focus on sales conversion 
 
Website content strategy 
 
 Ensure the Arts Centre website represents its brand to the highest standard of content authoring, representation, and web governance 
 
 Work with the CCSG Digital Analytics Officer (CCSG) and Arts Centre Marketing Director to set website KPIs on an annual basis to optimise website performance, measuring and analysing throughout the year and reporting in to funding partners 
 
 Identify opportunities where additional creative web content is required, and create or brief team(s) accordingly to produce appropriate content 
 
 Ensure that all events and website editorial content is up to date, timely and appropriate 
 
User Experience 
 
 Ensure intuitive user experiences, linking from external comms to the website and through the API to the Spektrix ticketing platform 
 
 Design and deliver user stories, user journeys, and mock-ups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces 
 
 Work with AV / technical team partners on other foyer digital comms strategy, including foyer screens, cinema screen ads 
 
 Ensure that all foyer screens content also meets the user experience 
 
SEO 
 
 Improving and developing the technical aspects, design, and content of the website to improve search visibility and deliver growth in customer engagement and online sales 
 
 Carrying out detailed search engine intent analysis to better understand audience needs and how their search behavior relates to different parts of the customer journey 
 
 Provide recommendations to the Arts Centre team to execute strategies for content development in coordination with SEO goals – general and keyword specific 
 
 Management of organic search engine performance and goal-selling based on analysis of business specific and third-party analytics data 
 
 Provide SEO analysis and recommendations in coordination with elements and structure of websites and web pages 
 
Other 
 
Where required, support for other website projects within the Campus and Commercial Services Group or wider Marketing, Communications, and Insight team at the University of Warwick.
