Plymouth Cultural Education Partnership seek to appoint a highly experienced Creative Producer to oversee the final year of the With Flying Colours (WFC) project in Plymouth.
WFC is a DCMS funded Youth Performance Partnership (YPP) programme which enables children and young people opportunities and access to performance and playmaking in a co-creation-based model. The programme seeks to create more and deeper experiences for children and young people. It enables new talent to be supported and developed and provides first-hand experiences of the multitude of roles within performance making. The project focuses on areas of low socio-economic backgrounds and cultural engagement in Plymouth. It also aims to create and develop more partnership working among arts, cultural and educational institutions across the city and to strengthen the Plymouth Cultural Education Partnership (PCEP) as a result.
The WFC Creative Producer will take strategic overview of the project, providing a clear direction for how this project will meet its aims. This role will support the With Flying Project Manager and with Flying Colours Officer as well as support the artists and companies commissioned to deliver aspects of the project. As we are moving into the final year of the project, the role will have a focus on securing the legacy and consolidating the learning to enable the PCEP to identify priorities and opportunities beyond With Flying Colours.
The WFC Creative Producer will maintain a strong sense of current good practice in this field and have a strong track-record of co-creation and ground-up working, alongside an understanding of schools. The WFC Creative Producer also takes a key role in ensuring that the With Flying Colours programme is clearly articulated locally, regionally and nationally taking up relevant opportunities to build partnerships with the other YPP programmes and advocate for the programme.
The project is a 4-year programme which started in September 2019 and will finish in September 2023. We are looking for someone to work on the final year of the project, August 22 – September 23.
This project is funded by the DCMS and Theatre Royal Plymouth hold the financial and staffing responsibilities.
