Theatre Royal Stratford East is looking to appoint a Venue Manager. 
 
The Venue Manager will oversee the smooth running of Stratford Youth Zone, ensuring that it provides a welcoming space for artists and young people, and that it is safely staffed and maintained to the highest possible standard. They will be responsible to drive the hiring of the space and ensuring that income targets are met. 
 
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team and ensure that our building is well maintained and run smoothly. This position requires an understanding of the customer facing side of venue management with experience in leading a team. We are looking for someone with experience of building and facilities management with a strong knowledge of health and safety processes including fire evacuation. 
 
Stratford East is a producing theatre in the heart of East London. We have a proud history and an exciting future. We tell stories, spearheading diverse work and champion often-marginalised voices on our stage. Under Nadia Fall’s Artistic direction, we present a bold programme of reimagined classics, timely revivals and ground-breaking new work. 
Situated in the heart of the East End community, we run an engaging Learning and Participation programme and are accessible and open to all. 
 
Stratford East is committed to safeguarding and embeds safeguarding in all of its working practices. 
 
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, with occasional evening/weekend work required for which an informal TOIL system is in operation.  
 
Holidays: 30 days per annum including bank holidays pro rata. This will increase by 1 day pro rata for each full holiday year of service completed to a maximum total of 33 days pro rata 
Pension: Up to 5% matched pension contribution after qualifying period

Notice Period: 2 months (after probation) 
Probation Period: 3 months
