Job Specification
We are looking for a Stage Technician (Grade 4) to join us. 
 
Based within the Stage department, with an expertise in stage craft and/or theatrical rigging, this role works to support theatre performances, production rehearsals and other events in all three venues, rehearsal rooms and other NT spaces as required.  You will take responsibility for the installation of scenery and associated systems, handling of props and will supervise other stage technicians undertaking related activity, whilst engaging in the full scope of Stage responsibilities 
 
The successful candidate will have the following: 
 
Solid stage operational experience in professional theatre; in a producing or rep theatre, or within a touring environment. 
 
Excellent stage craft skills and the ability to work at height using access equipment and PPE such as ladders and work positioning equipment.   
 
A good working knowledge and experience of theatrical flying and rigging techniques.   
 
The ability to draw, read and interpret ground and stage plans using CAD and other software.   
 
An open mind to new ways of working and a sympathetic approach to people working under pressure in an artistic environment.
