This exciting opportunity will be based in The Barn, our new performance and event space unique to the town of Ringwood. As well as school use and events throughout the year The Barn offers a venue for external users and includes a 600-seat auditorium, cinema grade projection installation, moveable lighting rig and superior sound system. You will provide an array of technical support throughout the school to staff, students and external users from a simple microphone during an assembly to a full-scale touring production run whilst supporting and sharing your technical knowledge with our BTEC students in their studies. Ringwood School is renowned for its’ high-quality Productions which you will play a key part in producing. 
The ideal candidate would be experienced in promoting a live events venue and have a good working knowledge of market leading sound and lighting systems. You will have great attention to detail, excellent co-ordination and calendar management skills and be an approachable, professional individual. We need someone who can meet and greet new users, manage the booking system for our venue and provide technical assistance to school and external users. This is an evolving role with the possibility in the future to introduce and manage additional casual technicians to support larger events. A technical knowledge in market leading brands in particular products by Allen and Heath (dLive), Nexo, Dante, ChamSys, Chauvet Pro and Robe would be an advantage. 
Due to the nature of this role we need someone who is fit, healthy and able to undertake strenuous lifting safely using lifting aids where required. This role requires flexibility in your working hours. 
E1-E3 depending on experience expected to be £26,314 - £27,645 for the core hours (full time equivalent £27,818 - £29,225 for Sept 2022) 
35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. This role requires a flexible approach to working hours and days which will include evenings and weekends. We operate a Time of In Lieu (TOIL) system for additional hours worked to be agreed with your Line Manager.
