SIX The Musical
West End and UK Tour
Job Specification
We are looking for an enthusiastic, sparky and dedicated person to join the SIX directing team this autumn!
The Resident Director will lead in maintaining the high standard of the West End and UK Touring productions of SIX. Responsibilities will include watching and noting the show, overseeing touring venue changes, attending publicity performances, auditions and running rehearsals including understudy and clean-up calls.
This is a fixed term 1 year contract from September 2022 – October 2023 and will be a full-time position. There are possibilities of further work on SIX after October 2023 – both in the UK and internationally – so we are looking for someone who is interested in making a long-term commitment to the show and becoming an integral part of the SIX directing team.
We are looking for candidates who are passionate and dedicated with a proven commitment to a career in theatre directing and experience of working professionally as a Resident or Assistant Director. A couple of years’ professional experience is desirable, but we welcome applications from early career directors eager to learn as well as from those with more extensive professional experience.
Please note, this role is exclusive and full time across 6 days a week. The job involves visiting the SIX UK Tour weekly so candidates should feel comfortable travelling.
