Curve is a leading producing theatre, creating compelling cultural experiences for all those who live, learn, visit and work in Leicester. Under the leadership of Chief Executive, Chris Stafford and Artistic Director Nikolai Foster, Curve has developed a reputation for producing, programming and touring a bold and diverse programme of musicals, plays, new work and dance. All of this is presented alongside a dynamic mix of community engagement and learning opportunities, which firmly places audiences and communities at the heart of everything we do. 
 
The post holder will work alongside other Heads of Departments in maintaining the high standards of production and maintenance for all Curve spaces and equipment. The Head of Stage and Automation will lead and develop the existing stage team, ensure that all visiting productions and events are provided for and play a key role in supporting the Production Manager for Curve‚Äôs produced shows. 
 
It is essential that the successful candidate will have at least 3 years of proven management skills and experience of communicating with staff at all levels in a large scale venue and/or touring productions. A proven track record in handling several projects simultaneously while demonstrating strong organisational and scheduling skills is a must. In addition, you will have extensive knowledge of stage and theatrical working practises and equipment. The post holder will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the venues powered flying system for which training can be provided if necessary. 
 
A qualification or training in relevant Health and Safety regulations and an understanding of working in producing environment is essential.
