The Edinburgh Playhouse is the UK’s largest all seated proscenium theatre with 3047 seats. We present a busy and varied programme of the world’s largest shows-  ranging from Large scale musicals to live music, comedy and dance. We are currently recruiting key positions within in our highly skilled Technical team. As our Deputy Chief LX you’ll play in key role in continuing our position as key touring venue for high-profile, high-quality shows. 
You'll support the Chief LX to lead the LX Department, ensuring we offer the highest standards of technical support to hundreds of performances and events each year. Establishing great relationships with the touring companies visiting us and effectively leading a team to deliver high standards are key parts of the role. 
This is a varied role including a good mixture of both management, planning and practical technical work, You should be skilled across a broad range of disciplines, from Lighting, sound, video and digital networking - although a key bias in one discipline with basic skills in the other disciplines will be considered. . You will also be expected to play a key role in the maintenance and upkeep of our venue, the planning and execution of technical infrastructure projects, new technical equipment purchases and overall building improvement projects.
