A pivotal member of the team, we are looking for an inspirational Head of Operations and Visitor Services who enjoys managing people and will be an active member of the Senior Management Team. 
We want to help people achieve their potential while working at Polka. Salary £35,000 - £40,000 per year depending on experience. 
Hours of work are 35 hours per week excluding a lunch break of 1 hour, worked over 5 days Monday to Friday. You are required to be flexible as Polka is open to the public Tuesday to Sunday. This means you will need to work one in every four weekends. We operate a Time Off In Lieu, known as ‘TOIL’, system for additional hours worked, including any travel out of London for work. 
What would you be doing? 
You will ensure that Polka provides a friendly and efficient Visitor Service operation, and a welcoming, inclusive and safe environment for visitors including families, schools and artists. You will be responsible for delivering key areas of commercial activity, including our thriving café and growing shop, and be passionate about continuously improving our environmental impact. With a strong knowledge of Health and Safety, you will have oversight of premises safety, management and security. You’ll be at the heart of making sure that Polka runs as efficiently as possible, helping to keep up our reputation as one of the UK’s most welcoming theatres.
