Job Specification
The Torch Theatre Company Ltd (the Torch), is a thriving award-winning theatre based production company welcoming over 80,000 visitors a year. Alongside our own company productions, the venue presents a high-quality artistic programme of theatre, music, and dance as well as a varied cinema programme, gallery and exciting youth, education and engagement opportunities. 
Working closely with the Artistic Director, this role is responsible for enhancing and delivering the Torch Theatre’s youth theatre, educational and community vision. As a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), this role contributes to ensuring the Torch operates as a sustainable and successful business and champions our organisational values in a culture that is inclusive, collaborative, safe and supportive; as well as artistically bold and ambitious. 
We are looking for someone who has previous experience of delivering a youth theatre strategy and/or successfully delivering a youth theatre programme of planned activity. You will also possess an understanding of a range of methodologies within youth and community arts and experience of designing and/or the delivery of creative engagement programmes within a theatre or community setting. 
Experience of working in an artistic creative environment with the ability to create ideas, opportunities and platforms for a diverse range of individuals and projects is essential. 
You will need enthusiasm for the performing arts and entertainment, a proven ability to solve creative problems with imaginative solutions and have a ‘can-do’ positive attitude with a good sense of humour.
