Park Theatre are looking for a dedicated, organised and creative Technical & Buildings Manager to join the team at an exciting time for our venue. The ideal candidate will have experience as an Assistant Technical Manager or similar, and a good breadth of technical knowledge. They will be enthusiastic and motivated, with strong planning and organisational skills.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Technical & Buildings Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the theatre and the safe presentation of all productions, hires and projects in both Park 200 and Park 90. They will also be responsible for managing the general upkeep of the building and its assets.
The Technical & Buildings Manager will lead a small and busy department, ensuring that team members are motivated and effective. They will build and hold excellent relationships with a range of stakeholders including Producers, Production Managers, Stage Managers and external contractors.
The role will work closely with the Artistic Director, General Manager, Producer/Programmer & Finance Director, ensuring always that Park Theatre provides an excellent service to its partners and audiences.
As we approach our tenth anniversary in May 2023, this is an exciting time to join the Park Theatre team. Having recently enjoyed a sold-out run of Tony! (The Tony Blair Rock Opera), we have plans to produce more in-house productions and to develop stronger income streams and greater financial resilience post-pandemic.
