To Kill a Mockingbird is seeking a Deputy Head of Wigs, Hair and Make-up on the West End production of To Kill a Mockingbird. 
 
Experience on a large-scale production is essential. Any candidate must be highly organised and have good communication skills. 
 
Responsibilities include working as part of the team in the maintenance, repair and dressing of wigs and hair on the production, as well as make-up requirements, to maintain the look of the production as designed. Other responsibilities include dressing performers prior to and during rehearsals and performances and other performance-related activities, working as part of an efficient and successful department and liaison with all other departments on the production and associated personnel. 
 
Candidates will require hands-on professional experience with an emphasis on wigs and hairdressing, make-up and other related disciplines, the ability to work under pressure and within a team and good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as strong organisational and time management qualities. Desirable skills include experience in wig-knotting and/or barbering skills. Candidates should be trained in cutting and styling Afro-textured hair. 
 
All applicants must be able to commit to the full contract: starting on as soon as possible and able to commit to a full year’s contract in the first instance. The salary will be SOLT/BECTU rates.
