Job Specification
The role of the Head of Children & Young People’s (CYP) Programme is to manage the development of 
work for children and young people, as a beacon of inspiration and excellence for the region. They will be 
fully committed to facilitating and developing innovative projects and inspiring young people to realise 
their full potential through the arts. Work will include leading on Chichester Festival Youth Theatre (CFYT), 
which includes groups in eight locations across the county, groups for young people with additional needs, 
Technical Youth Theatre and specialist groups; as well as developing youth outreach programmes, 
projects and activities. 
 
The Head of CYP will strategically develop a programme of work in consultation with the Youth & Outreach 
team, and as part of LEAP’s broader strategy in accordance with the direction of CFT’s revised mission, 
vision and values.   
 
The Head of Children and Young People's Programme will deputise for the Director of LEAP where relevant, and in connection with all CYP associated matters.
