The New Wolsey Theatre is looking for a skilled Technical Manager to lead the department that’s the beating heart of this much-loved producing theatre. The Technical Manager will manage and coordinate the delivery of technical support for produced, presented and creative communities work.
We’re an organisation that has a national reputation for work in access and inclusion, for pioneering the actor musician form and we have a huge impact on the public and cultural life of Ipswich and beyond. Our 400-seater midscale auditorium is perfectly formed being both epic and intimate, as such it delivers the most impactful, exhilarating, and stimulating of shows – there’s not a bad seat in the house.

We’d love applications from people of all backgrounds, especially from Black, Asian and ethnically diverse backgrounds, those who identify as deaf and disabled people, neurodiverse people, members of the LGBTQIA+ community and those from lower socio-economic backgrounds. We are up for exploring support and development needs and will make reasonable adjustments to enable applicants to participate in the selection process, and for the successful applicant to carry out their role
If you need us to make any adjustments to allow you to fully participate, would like an informal and confidential discussion about the position, or if you would like the candidate pack in different accessible formats please contact Lucy Parker
The deadline for applications is 9am, Thursday 16th February 2023.
Interviews will be held on Thursday 24th February / Friday 25th February 2023.
NWT will reimburse reasonable travel expenses to attend interviews.

2. Complete our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Monitoring Form
