Job Specification
Our Company Management Team assures the smooth running of our busy
opera festival through meticulous pre-planning, careful scheduling, constant
communication with all departments and support for all our artists (creative
teams, principal singers, actors, covers, dancers, chorus and orchestra).
Company Management duties for 2023 will be shared between the Artistic
Administration & Company Manager and this position, with an assistant working
across all productions. The role will deputise for the Company Manager on all
productions of the 2023 Festival, with particular responsibility for Mitridate, re di
Ponto and The Bartered Bride.
You will be working at rehearsals in London from April until mid-June, and on-site
at Wormsley for stage rehearsals and performances from the end of May until the
contract finishes. Accommodation will be provided near Wormsley as required.
Meal provided on all stage rehearsal and performance days
Company Management
Oversee health & happiness of all company members.
Deputise for the Company Manager on all productions of the 2023 Festival, with
particular responsibility for Mitridate, re di Ponto and The Bartered Bride.
Supervise rehearsals in London and at Wormsley.
Liaise with Assistant Conductor & Assistant Director to submit the weekly
schedule to the Company Manager in good time.
Liaise with the Costume Supervisor and Designer to schedule costume fittings.
Liaise with the Head of Music and Assistant Conductor regarding coachings and
facilitate as required, including booking supplementary rooms as necessary.
Manage last minute schedule / cast changes or delays.
Assist creative teams, principal singers, chorus members and orchestra members
with general enquiries.
Arrange company parties.
Manage and administer Young Artist events and opportunities, in collaboration
with the Company Manager, including the Cover Showcase.
Daily site administration (e.g. sign-in sheets, checking dressing rooms, liaison
with Green Room café, circulating schedule updates) when at Wormsley.
Company manage performances, as required.
