Response to Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Announcement for 2018-22

"We’re delighted to see that the significance of theatre and the performing arts to our cultural life has been recognised by Arts Council England in its National Portfolio for 2018-22.

From Emma Rice’s new company, Wise Children, to the Rosie Kay Dance Company and Action Hero, theatre and performing arts companies are breaking boundaries and driving innovation. It’s great to see this supported.

With stable funding for organisations in London, a welcome increase for some organisations across the country, and vital support for the mid-scale and touring, this investment will boost the creativity in our cultural experiences and make a strong contribution to the economy."
