When resources are precious, how can we create value without wasting time or money? Business Resilience is a dedicated space for executive, senior, finance and business leads to examine their business models, funding and finance.  

Network, learn and be inspired by speakers working in and outside the theatre industry, as well as with colleagues from across the UK. You will leave with practical ideas and support for you to take back to your organisation.

A networking drinks reception will take place following the conference.

Sustainability

As part of our commitment to sustainable practice we are trialling a number of things this year to help reduce our environmental impact. 

For example:

  • We do not print the programme and delegate list as handouts. Instead they will be emailed to attendees in advance, as well as downloadable from the website
  • We use stickers as name badges for delegates instead of lanyards or plastic holders
  • We will trial meat-free catering at our 2020 conferences and ask for feedback from attendees

  • Digital Futures: How do we embed digital activity as part of the strategic vision and throughout everything you do? This panel will give insights to help you focus resources on digital skills development, technological investment and partnership building.

  • Resilience and well-being in the workplace: Personal resilience leads to organisational resilience, so how can we promote and improve well-being in our work places, to improve resilience overall?
  • Leading a Culture of Resilience: Using a new tool from TRG Arts this session will explore how to assess your culture of resilience, and where there is (or isn’t) alignment between the executive leader, the senior leadership team and the staff. You’ll be able to go back to your organisation equipped to understand and improve your own culture of resilience.
  • Investing well for local growth: When local funding for arts and culture is scarce, how can theatre help put investment into creating great places to live?
