Managing well – HR basics: from recruitment to appraisals

Audience

Delegates will be managing teams of 1 to 100+, they may be new to management or be part of the senior management team. They will work across a theatre’s departments. They may work for organisations with no HR department.

Objectives

This training will:

  1. Explore good practice surrounding managing the basics of HR across the employee lifecycle – including recruitment, induction, performance management and exit interviews.
  2. Provide space for learners to identify practical actions that they can take their own practice and within their organisation and encourage commitment to change

Outcomes

As a result of this training:

  1. Learners have the confidence and knowledge necessary to manage the employee lifecycle ethically, legally and positively.
  2. Learners can support people, regardless of background, to access and thrive in the theatre off stage workforce
