The only nationwide awards to celebrate the outstanding achievements of theatre across the UK, recognising the remarkable contributions UK Theatre members make to the industry.
Important Update (posted: 22 September 2020)
Due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic the UK Theatre Awards 2020, which should have taken place on 25 October 2020 at London's Guildhall, will sadly not be going ahead.
Instead, throughout October we will be looking back on previous #UKTAwards and celebrating the amazing work of our members, both on stage and off.
Here's how you can get involved:
- Join in on social media every Friday in October (from 2nd - 30th October) using the hashtag #UKTAwards and tagging @uk_theatre on Twitter.
- Share your memories - your wins, your nominations, your special day with friends and colleagues celebrating the best of theatre across the UK.
- You don’t have to have won or been nominated for an award in the past to get involved. Perhaps you have done some extraordinary work in the face of recent challenges. That deserves celebrating too. For example, has your wardrobe department have been making face masks for the NHS? Or have your staff been delivering groceries to vulnerable people? Then maybe you want to give them a shout out when we celebrate the Workforce Award or the UK’s Most Welcoming Theatre Award.
- Are you an audience member whose local theatre has kept you entertained with digital streams and online content throughout the pandemic? Then show them some love on social when we celebrate the Digital Innovation Award.
This content planner will help you get involved so you know which awards we will be covering when.
We look forward to sharing your posts.
