We want every visitor to feel welcomed and included and we can only achieve that if our volunteers are as diverse as our communities. You don’t need to be a super-fan of ballet or opera, you just need to be open and curious to learn!
What you will be doing
- Welcome and greet visitors
- Share information and answer questions
- Accompany tour groups to ensure they remain together
- Help to manage queues and busy spaces
- Assist staff in keeping everyone safe
- Escalate problems or complaints to staff
- Use radio to communicate with staff and volunteer team
The skills you need
- Friendly and enthusiastic
- Reliable and punctual
- A team player
- Proactive and able to follow instructions
- Interested to learn about ballet, opera, and the Royal Opera House
- Able to keep calm during busy times
- Able to stay motivated during quieter times
- Confident communicating in English
- Enjoy meeting new people and starting conversations
