This Privacy Policy (together with our Terms of Use and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. 2.1 If you decide to use the Site to book an event or training course (whether you are a UK Theatre member or a non-UK Theatre member) you will be asked to provide certain information about yourself including your name, contact details and payment details and we will collect and keep this information. By booking an event or training course via the Site, you consent to the collection, use and transfer of such information in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2.2 If you decide to register to use the pages of the Site which are accessible only to UK Theatre members (the "Members’ Pages"), you will be asked to provide certain information about yourself including your name, contact details, username and password and we will collect and keep this information. By registering to use the Members’ Pages, you consent to the collection, use and transfer of such information in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2.3 We may collect information that you provide to us for the purpose of subscribing to our website services, emails notifications and/or newsletters.

2.4 We may collect information that you provide to us by filling in other forms on the Site, including information provided at the time of subscribing for a particular service, posting material or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with the Site.

2.5 We may collect generic information about your visits to and use of the Site such as your IP addresses, geographical location, browser type, referral source, length of visit and number of page views. Individual users will not be identifiable from this information and we may use this information for a number of purposes such as optimising the use of the Site, disclosing to third party contributors or for security purposes. 2.7 Any materials or information that you post to the Site may be visible to other users of the Site and is stored on our servers for the purposes of making the Site available. 3.1 We will only use your information for the following purposes:

(f) if you are a member of UK Theatre, to administer your membership account and enable us to provide you with access to all parts of the Site and to enable you to download information and materials from the Site;

(g) to display your company name and the contact individual name(s) and contact details on the Members’ Directory on the Site to enable other UK Theatre members of the Site to contact you (unless you have expressly requested that we do not publish such information on the Site);

(h) if you are a member of UK Theatre, where you have submitted your information on the Members Discussion Forum (the "Forum") to display your username and contact details to other users;

(i) to display the information that you submitted on the Forum to other members and to enable other members of the Site to contact you;

(j) to administer, support, improve and develop our Site;

(k) to send you general (non-marketing) commercial communications, such as information about the services provided to you by us at that time;

(l) provide third parties with statistical information about our users – but this information will not be used to identify any individual user.

4. Disclosure of your Information

4.1 Other than as expressly set out in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise required or permitted by law, we will not share, sell or distribute any of the information you provide to us without your consent.

4.2 You should note that the public elements of your profile on the Forum will be visible by users of the Site throughout the world. You should therefore be careful when submitting information about yourself and only submit information that you are happy to be public information.

4.3 We may disclose your personal information to (i) carefully selected third parties to contact you about products, services and events which may be of interest to you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes; (ii) to any third party to whom disclosure is necessary to enable us to provide you with any service to which you have subscribed via the Site; (iii) any person to whom disclosure is necessary to enable us to enforce our rights under this Privacy Policy or under the Terms of Use; and/or (iv) any purchaser (or prospective purchaser) of the shares or business of UK Theatre Association, or any purchaser of the Site.

6. Third Party Sites and Contributors

6.1 The Site contains links to websites and microsites that are operated by third parties. We do not control those websites and microsites and as such this Privacy Policy does not apply to those websites and microsites. Please consult the terms and conditions and privacy policy of those third party websites and microsites to find out how they collect and use your personal data and to establish whether and for what purpose they use cookies.

6.2 Advertisements contained on our Site operate as links to that advertiser’s website(s) and as such any information they collect by virtue of your clicking on that link will be collected and used in accordance with the privacy policy of that advertiser.

7. Security and Data Retention

7.1 We employ security measures to protect your information from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. We will retain your information for the duration of your membership of the Site and for a reasonable period or as long as the law requires or permits.

7.2 We will store all the personal information you provide, including your login details, on our secure servers. All electronic transactions you make to or receive from us will be encrypted using SSL technology.

7.3 Data transmission over the internet is inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.

7.4 You are responsible for keeping your password and user details confidential.

8. International Data Transfers 

8.1 Our servers are situated in the UK, however we collect data from wherever users are situated. The information that we collect will therefore be transferred to the UK from any other country in which you may be located and will be subject to UK data protection laws rather than the laws of the country in which you are resident.

8.2 We do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area.

9. Your Rights 

9.1 You are entitled to see the information held about you and you may ask us to make any necessary changes to ensure that it is accurate and kept up to date. If you wish to do this, please contact us using the information provided above. We are entitled by law to charge a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

9.2 You may request us to cease sending you any marketing information at any time by notifying us in writing or alternatively each marketing email sent to you will contain an easy, automated way for you to cease receiving marketing emails from us, or to change your marketing permissions. If you wish to do this, simply follow the instructions at the end of any email. You may request us to cease processing your data at any time but if you withdraw your consent to certain types of processing described above we may be unable to maintain your membership of the Site.

9.3 If you have received unwanted, unsolicited emails sent via this system or purporting to be sent via this system, please forward a copy of that email with your comments to enquiries@soltukt.co.uk for review.

10. Updating Information

Please let us know if the personal information which we hold about you needs to be corrected or updated at any time.

11. Changes to our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to make changes to the Privacy Policy from time to time. Any such changes to our Privacy Policy will be posted to the Site and, where appropriate, through e-mail notification.
