Oxford Playhouse has a bold and exciting vision, building on its legacy to create an even stronger and more vibrant cultural landscape in Oxford. With the recent appointment of Mike Tweddle as Artistic Director and CEO of Oxford Playhouse, the organisation looks to the future with confidence.
Responsibilities include:
TICKETING
• Managing the rota for the box office team, ensuring an appropriate level of staffing at all times.
• Completing weekly timesheets for the ticketing team.
• Training box office and other Hampstead staff on the ticketing system, policies and procedures.
• Supervising the box office team and dealing with any queries that arise.
• Managing comps, holds, house seats, reservations and returns.
• Dealing with customer complaints and queries.
• Maintaining and promoting the highest standards of customer care at the box office.
• Preparing banking and Society of London Theatre returns and carrying out financial reconciliation and reporting.
• Assisting with management of the access scheme and access performances.
MARKETING
• Setting up marketing offers on the box office system as directed.
• Overseeing the audience feedback platform and managing its distribution and appearance on the website.
• Reporting on the success of marketing strategies and email campaigns to the marketing department including tracking return on investment and other key metrics.
• Networking and liaising on behalf of the marketing team with ticket agents and third party sellers to increase ticket sales. Reporting on such activities and influencing future relationships with this first-hand knowledge.
GENERAL
• Deputising for the Head of Ticketing and Sales as required.
• Supporting the work of the development team in promoting friends membership, donations and patrons scheme.
• Supporting the work of Hampstead’s access programme, ensuring the theatre is accessible to all users.
• Supporting the work of Hampstead’s ticketing schemes such as the Downstairs Club offering priority access to Under 30s.
• Undertaking any other duties as may reasonably be required.
Roles include Stage Manager, Assistant Stage Manager (Book Cover), Resident Director, Sound No. 1, Sound No. 2, Sound No. 3, Head of Wardrobe, Wardrobe Deputy, Dresser, Head of WH&M, WH&M Assistant, Head of Automation and Automation No. 2.

The role:
As a charity, we could not plan for our next program of artistic work without the support of our legacy givers and members. We are now seeking to recruit a Membership and Legacy Coordinator based within the Development and Enterprises Department on a permanent basis. Working across the Legacy and Membership teams you will promote and sensitively administer legacies, working with potential legacy givers and with our Patrons, as well as helping provide the best customer service to all our members and prospective members.
Calling on your ability to create and set strategies, your work will conceive of the best ways to connect the international and UK-based artists we champion to existing and new London audiences and our growing online communities.
The role is creative, strategic, and dynamic. You need to be an agile thinker and a clear, motivational communicator, able to articulate your ideas and plans to a diverse range of stakeholders and partners. You will enjoy working in a dynamic environment, at times responding to the needs of multiple individuals and organisations as we deliver events in partnership with local and international partners, whilst managing freelancers and contractors under your stewardship.
Selling tickets, group bookings, season bundles, subscriptions and memberships.
Delivering a first-class welcome and encouraging our audiences to develop their relationship with HFC through every visit.
Planning of daily/monthly box office rotas to ensure the smooth running of phone and in-person box office.
Working with the Box Office Manager to lead on promoting our membership scheme, group and school bookings, merchandise sales and external ticketing.
Be an ambassador for accessibility. Work to raise awareness of the facilities we offer and always seek out ways to improve them.
Supervising others on a duty rota.
Liaising with visiting companies, fulfilling their ticketing and reporting requirements.
