Summary
We’re seeking experienced, dedicated and professional Chaperones to join the team of a major musical on a fixed-term basis. This role is central to supporting the safety, welfare and wellbeing of our young performers, both on and off stage.

| Responsibilities and Duties | ||||||
| As a Chaperone, you’ll be expected to look after, support and safeguard our young cast members to the highest standards. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
● Acting in Loco Parentis: Providing care and supervision ensuring children feel safe and supported at all times. ● Supervision: Remain with children at all times whilst they are in your care on stage and backstage, ensuring they are always able to be seen by a licensed chaperone. ● Child Welfare: Ensuring the health, safety and welfare of every child in your care. ● Safe & Inclusive: Creating a nurturing, inclusive, and discrimination-free environment. ● Compliance: Following all Health & Safety and Safeguarding policies as outlined by the Producer and General Management. Following guidelines surrounding allergies and dietary requirements during mealtimes with children. ● Licensing Adherence: Complying with all local authority licensing and inspection requirements. Ensuring all daily paperwork is filled out accurately daily. ● Reporting & Documentation: Reporting and documenting any concerns or incidents to Children’s General Management (Keston & Keston), DTG and Company Management as required. ● Record-Keeping: Keeping accurate records of any incidents, illness, injury, or accident. ● Company Support: Assisting the company across all activities, including rehearsals, performances, maintenance calls, get-ins, fit-ups, get-outs, including emergency scenarios. Having clear and effective communication with the rest of the company. ● Adaptability: Being familiar with understudy and swing performances and adapting as needed. ● Team Coverage: Providing coverage for colleagues during holidays, absences, or other needs. ● Financial Responsibility: Handling petty cash as directed by General Management, with timely reconciliation of receipts. ● Behaviour: Encouraging a positive and professional environment throughout rehearsals, on stage and backstage.
