Based within the Stage department, with an expertise in rigging, this role works to support stage work and lifting operations in support of theatre performances, production, rehearsals and other events in all three venues, rehearsal rooms and other NT spaces as required.  You will share responsibility for the installation of temporary rigging for productions and will work with other technicians undertaking rigging-related activity, whilst engaging in the full scope of Stage department responsibilities
The successful candidates will have the following:
  • Professional, large-scale theatre or live event experience in a flying/rigging capacity
  • A working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation including LOLER
  • Industry-recognised training and certification in rigging, stagecraft, and Health & Safety
  • Comfortable working at height, e.g. using access and fall protection equipment
  • Effective written, verbal and software-based communication skills
