What would you be doing?
The Volunteer Coordinator will lead on the recruitment, coordination and retention of Polka’s established volunteer scheme, which currently primarily sits within the Visitor Service Team. Supporting and working closely with the Visitor Services Manager, you will ensure our diverse volunteers assist visitors to get the best possible experience at Polka.

Volunteers undertake a variety of roles across Visitor Services, and we are keen to recruit volunteers who represent the full diversity of people in our communities. You will ensure each volunteer is trained, provided with clear information and supported and you will be ambitious in developing the volunteer scheme.

You will regularly act as / support the Duty Manager when the theatre is open to the public, deputising for the Visitor Services Manager as necessary. You will work alongside your colleagues to ensure all areas are maintained and well-presented, complying with health and safety and licensing regulations as well as company policies and standards.

Salary:  £26,500 to £28,500 per year depending on experience

Hours:  full time, permanent role. The post-holder will work across a varying shift pattern over a 7 day week, and regular weekend work will be required to fulfil the requirements of the role and meet the needs of the organisation alongside other team members.
