Chinese New Year

2025 is the Year of the Snake.

Here are some things you can do to celebrate Chinese New Year: 

• Hold a lantern making competition 

• Wear something to do with the year of the animal (e.g. 2025 is the year of the snake) 

• Play Chinese Poker 

• Bai Nian- where folks greet their elders and offer a pair of oranges and good wishes. 

• Arrange a Chinese New Year buffet 

• Hold a cooking competition and make traditional meals such as Yusheng- raw fish 

• Play Chinese New Year Trivia 

• Face Paint 

• Sip and paint 

• Chinese New Year dance

• Go to Chinatown
