Our flagship productions include A Taste of Ireland and A Celtic Christmas by A Taste of Ireland, which have toured globally for over a decade.

As we expand our portfolio into new theatrical works and large-scale touring productions, we are looking for passionate, skilled team members to join our producing team. With offices and collaborators across multiple continents, Pace Live is a fast-growing, dynamic company at the forefront of international touring.

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Producer (Touring & Development) to support our growing slate of new projects and global touring productions. This role sits at the heart of the company, combining tour booking and logistics, new show development, and technical production management.

Key Responsibilities:

Touring, Booking & Logistics (70%)

  • Research, negotiate, and contract venues internationally.

  • Route and plan efficient tours across the UK, Ireland, Europe, and beyond.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international promoters and venue partners.

  • Represent Pace Live at industry events, festivals, and networking opportunities.

  • Develop and secure future bookings and touring opportunities for the company.

  • Manage logistics including accommodation, travel, freight, visas, and customs.

  • Support budgeting, contracting, and cost tracking for tours.

Production Management & Development (30%)

  • Collaborate with creative departments (set, lighting, video, audio, costume) to bring new productions to life.

  • Oversee set builds and coordinate production schedules from concept through delivery.

  • Provide strong technical theatre knowledge and act as the link between creative and technical teams.

  • Conduct cost–benefit analyses of show builds, technical specs, and touring requirements to ensure projects are financially and logistically viable.

  • Liaise with venues and technical teams on specifications, riders, compliance, and accessibility.

  • Oversee rehearsals, load-ins/outs, and show operations when required.

  • Transfer productions across territories (UK, Ireland, Europe) and adapt shows to suit touring needs.

  • Maintain and update production documentation, schedules, and risk assessments.

This role reports directly to the Executive Producer and works closely with our Assistant Producers in the US and Australia. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that Pace Live productions are not only booked successfully, but also built, scaled, and toured efficiently.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Experience in set builds and transferring productions across regions.

  • Strong skills in touring logistics (travel, freight, accommodation, visas, etc.).

  • Capacity to run cost–benefit analyses on production builds and touring models.

  • Excellent organisational and negotiation skills.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with creatives, promoters, and venues.

  • Flexibility and resilience — able to adapt to the challenges of international live touring.

  • UK work rights, no criminal record, and an up-to-date passport.

Bonus points for:

  • Prior experience working with international promoters and booking tours.

  • A network of contacts within the theatre or live events industry.

  • Understanding or prior knowledge of US or Australia/NZ touring.

Creative input and passion for building and developing new productions.

Working Arrangements

  • 38 hours per week with flexible working hours.

  • Remote / hybrid role: work primarily from home with the need for a reliable home office setup (internet, computer, phone).

  • Occasional travel required to attend rehearsals, open shows, or tour launches across the UK, Ireland, Europe, and beyond.

  • Opportunities to travel internationally as the company expands its global touring footprint.

      • For candidates with 2–4 years’ touring/production experience.

      • Expected to take on full responsibility for booking and managing tours in one or more territories.

      • Represents the company with venues, promoters, and at industry events.

Clear progression path to Associate Producer (£37,000+) as the company continues to expand.
