Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre is seeking a practical, adaptable and
enthusiastic Duty Technician to support the delivery of Anansi the
Spider on the Picnic Lawn during the 2026 season.
Following the success of the production’s previous run at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre in 2021, alongside sold-out runs at the Unicorn Theatre in 2023 and 2025, this production forms part of the theatre’s continued programme of outdoor work for young audiences, following productions including Every Leaf a Hallelujah.
Working closely with the visiting company and Regent’s Park production teams, the Duty Technician will oversee the day-to-day technical and audience set-up for performances, supporting the safe and smooth delivery of the production in a unique outdoor environment.
The primary function of the role is to manage the daily set-up,
changeover and technical operation of the production each day. The
majority of hours for this contract are daytime hours, typically between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Sunday with Thursdays off, though flexibility will occasionally be required depending on weather and operational needs.
This is a hands-on, generalist technical role suited to someone
confident working independently, problem-solving practically, and
supporting live performance in changing outdoor conditions.
